Shri Raj Kumar Singh (DIN: 11677271) has appointed in the Board of Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Company Limited (BRBCL) as the Nominee Director of the Ministry of Railways with effect from 27th April 2026.
He is presently serving as Executive Director (EEM) in the Railway Board, Ministry of Railways. In his current role in railways, he is responsible for handling several important assignments, including Traction Distribution, General Electrical Systems, Open Access for Indian Railways, and Passenger Amenities–related Electrical Works, with a special focus on the proliferation of Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation initiatives across Indian Railways.
He is an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) and brings with him over 30 years of rich experience in various capacities in the Government of India. His extensive exposure to electrical energy systems, infrastructure development, and energy management provides valuable strategic inputs at the Board level. Academically, he holds a Post‑Graduate degree in Power Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur.
